RBdigital Magazines has transitioned into OverDrive Magazines. The app Libby by OverDrive is an easy way to borrow and read magazines. It's available for Android, iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), and Kindle Fire. Learn more and get started with Libby.

Borrow and use magazines

  1. Open the app and tap magnifying glass icon in the bottom menu to search or tap Building icon in the bottom menu and scroll down to OverDrive Magazines to browse.
  2. Tap on a cover to pull up details about the magazine and the issue.
  3. Tap Borrow directly below the cover to check out the current issue or scroll down to find past issues. For most titles, 3 years of back issues will be available on a rolling basis.

    Tips:

Tap the filter button in the top banner to apply filters such as Format, Language, or Audience.

OverDrive Magazines are always available, and do not count toward your checkout limit.

If you close the app and come back later, tap Icon of two stacked booksin the bottom menu to find borrowed items. Next, tap the magazine cover or Open in Libby to begin reading a title.

Read magazines in Article View

The Libby app includes a new article view feature, which makes reading digital magazines more interactive and enjoyable!

  1. Open a borrowed magazine.

  2. Tap the center of the screen to hide the timeline.

  3. Select Read The Article (or Articles) near the bottom of the reader.

Access previous RBdigital Magazines loans

Magazines that were previously borrowed through RBdigital Magazines did not transfer over to OverDrive Magazines. However, you will be able to access your historical RBdigital Magazine loans by either downloading the free ZINIO app or going to zinio.com. From the ZINIO app or website, you can register a new ZINIO account using the same email address you used to access RBdigital. Once registered, your previously borrowed ZINIO magazine loans will be available in your account.
