Many of our eBooks can be downloaded onto a device or computer using an app or software, but some eBooks can be viewed online with a constant internet connection only. How to view an item depends on which collection it's from. Each eBook is labeled differently in the catalog depending on the collection that it comes from.
eBooks with these labels can be downloaded with an app or software or viewed in a browser:
- eBook — Get started with Libby (the app made by OverDrive)
- Check out now on hoopla — Get started with hoopla
- EBOOK CLOUDLIBRARY — Get started with cloudLibrary
These eBooks must be viewed online in your browser:
- EBOOK EBSCOHOST
- EBOOK OXFORD REFERENCE
To read an online-only eBook, click View eBook here below or to the right of the collection label. If you are outside of the Library, you will be prompted to enter your Library Card number.
The interfaces for these collections vary, but they have similar functions. You can often use the Table of Contents to jump to a certain section or search within the book. Most have limited printing and saving options.
