Apply online for a Digital Card! Digital Cards allow access only to the Austin Public Library's Digital Resources to read, listen, watch on your computer or mobile device 24/7.
- For adults (ages 18 and older)
- 2-3 business days to process application. Once approved, you will receive an email with your Digital Library Card number.
- Note: if you have a Full-Access Library Card, you have access to the Digital Resources.
Other types of cards

Youth Cards - Available for applicants 17 and younger. Youth must have an adult co-signer present at the time of application. Student Cards are also available.

Enhanced Library Cards - The Enhanced Library Card is a full-access library card for Austin residents (18 or older) that includes your library card number, photograph, address, date of birth, the expiration date, and a scannable barcode.

Group Library Cards - Available for educational, nonprofit or service groups.
