You are eligible for a free Library Card if you are an Austin resident living within the official Austin city limits or in an Austin ETJ or LTD.
You can use the City of Austin's Jurisdictions Web Map to check your Austin residency status. If your address description shows Austin Full Purpose, Austin 2 Mile ETJ, Austin 5 Mile ETJ, or Austin LTD, you are eligible for a resident Library Card.
