Log into My APL: Checked Out and locate the item you want to renew. If nothing appears below the due date, select the 3 stacked dots icon to reveal the option. Check the scenarios below:

Never renewed, no one waiting:

Renew is circled with a note: Renewing is allowed.

Renewed once, no one waiting:

Renewed: 1 time. Renewing is allowed.

Renewed twice, no one waiting:

Renewed: 2 times. You cannot renew remotely again. Bring the item to the desk at any of our locations. You can immediately check it out again if no one is waiting.

1 (or more) person waiting (regardless of how many times you've renewed):

If the item has 1 or more people waiting, click the item title to check the item availability. If it shows an available copy or copies, call Customer Service: 512-974-7475. They may be able to track down a copy to fill the other person's hold so that you are able to renew. Learn more about renewing items that have holds and available copies.

If the item says Cannot renew, it is from OverDrive. Learn about renewing OverDrive items.
