Visit the Forgot Password page to reset your Austin Public Library account PIN/password online. Enter your Library card number and the email address associated with your Library account. After entering this information, you will receive an email with instructions for changing your PIN/password. If an email doesn't show up in the inbox, check your spam and junk folders. 

PINs/passwords must be at least six characters and contain at least one number and one letter. They can also contain the following characters: underscores (_), exclamation points (!), at signs (@), and percent signs (%). 

If you do not have or remember an email address associated with your Library card you can:

  • Call Customer Service at 512-974-7475 to reset your PIN/password. 
  • Chat or email, using the chat and email links in the Ask Us box on this page or on the Ask a Librarian page.
