Printers / Copiers

All Austin Public Library locations except Austin History Center and Recycled Reads have black-and-white print/copy machines.

  • You can copy from a physical document.
  • You can print from our public computers or your personal device.
  • Prints/copies are 20 cents per page.
  • The machines accept bills and coins and will give back change.
  • You can also pay with credit card for printing, but you will need cash for copying.
  • If you want to pay for copying with a credit card you will need to go to the Check Out desk first.
  • We do not have color copiers/printers.
  • You can print from a USB flash drive (PDF or TIFF documents only) by releasing it from a computer first.

Scanners

Scanning to a USB drive or to an email address is available using the print/copy machines at all Library locations.

  • There is no charge for scanning.
  • Scanning is available in color or black and white.
  • The scanning bed is approximately 12" x 17". The largest size this accommodates is tabloid size (11" x 17") and A3 (11.7" x 16.5").

Fax Machines

The Library does not have fax machines. You can try retail office/shipping stores like UPS, FedEx, Office Depot, and some HEB stores. These retail locations usually charge a fee.

You can also use an online faxing service, like Fax Zero or Got Free Fax. You can fax limited pages for free over the internet or pay to fax more pages and/or remove ads.

Note: Commercial services are listed here for your information only. No companies are endorsed by the Library. Please use at your own risk.

Typewriters

None of our Library locations have typewriters.
