The Austin History Center is on the 1, 3, 801, and 803 bus lines. If you drive to the AHC, you'll need to pay to park in a metered spot on a nearby street. Metered parking is free before noon on Saturdays and all day on Sundays. If you have a disabled hang tag or license plate, you do not have to pay the parking meters, and there is no time limit.

Phased Reopening

The Austin History Center began a phased reopening on Thursday, October 9th. The first floor and the reference room are open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12:00PM - 5:00PM. More information is available on their News page. If you have a question, please leave a voicemail at 512-974-7480 or email the Austin History Center via their online contact form. They will respond to all inquiries as soon as possible.
