If you're seeing a "Privilege has expired" message it is usually because your Library Card has expired and needs to be renewed. You can renew your account two ways:
Visit any location providing express services (Central, Carver, Hampton Branch at Oak Hill, Manchaca, Milwood, North Village, Old Quarry, Ruiz, Spicewood Springs, St. John, Windsor Park, and Yarborough) with your library card, a valid photo ID and proof of your current residence address. For everyone’s safety please maintain social distancing when you arrive at the library, and a facial covering is highly encouraged.
If you cannot visit a location or simply prefer to do so, you can renew online! Your account must be in good standing with no fines. You will need:
- Your library card number
- Your password/PIN (Reset your password/pin.)
- Pictures of your photo ID and proof of residential address.
Adults renewing or replacing their Library Card will need to pay all fines owed on their account. Non-residents have to pay a non-resident fee to renew their Library Card.
For questions regarding your Library Card, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Customer Service Office at 512-974-7475. Also see the Library Card and Circulation Policies for additional details.
