You can reset your Austin Public Library account PIN/password online through our Forgot Password? page.
On the Forgot Password? page, Library card holders will be asked for their Library card number and the email address on their Library account. After entering this information, they will receive an email with instructions for changing their PIN/password. If an email doesn't show up in the inbox, it's good to check the spam or junk folders.
Please keep in mind that PINs/passwords must be at least six characters and contain at least one number and one letter. Passwords can also contain the following characters: underscores (_), exclamation points (!), at signs (@), and percent signs (%).
If you do not have or remember an email address associated with your Library card you can:
- Call Customer Service at 512-974-7475 to reset your PIN/password. Customer Service is open Monday – Thursday from 10 AM to 9 PM, Friday – Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM.
- Chat or email, using the chat and email links in the Ask Us box on this page or on the Ask a Librarian page.
