The Austin Public Library does not purchase K-12 or college textbooks as part of its Materials Selection Policy but we do have some textbooks in the collection. Textbooks or textbook-type books are normally shelved at the beginning of the subject range. For example, find Algebra textbooks in the 510s.

The University of Texas does maintain a textbook collection. You can use your TexShare card to check out materials from the Perry-Castañeda Library. Go to the UT Library Catalog's Advanced Search, enter your keywords, and choose "K-12 Textbooks & Curriculum" from the location drop-down menu.
