Some features are not available for children under age 13. This includes typing in any unique information (like adding a review, displaying your real name, personalizing your profile, etc.). This is to be in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA), which protects children under age 13 from the collection of personally identifying information.
When you turn 13, you will be able to change your username, create lists with unique names, add book reviews, and do everything else in the catalog.
If you are 13 or older but are still having trouble, contact us and we’ll investigate. We have been told by our catalog creator, BiblioCommons, that they plan to reintroduce the feature of commenting on items on a device other than a desktop computer, but gave no timeline.
