The Shared Learning Rooms are lively community spaces located throughout the building. Unlike the Branch Meeting Rooms, these rooms may be booked for public or private meetings and groups. Each room has a large-screen monitor and speakers that can be used to present PowerPoint presentations, stream videos or show a website. The Shared Learning Rooms seat 4, 6, 8 or 10 people.

HDMI cables are typically available in the rooms, but it's a good idea to bring your own to have a backup or if you need other types of cables. The largest whiteboards are located in these three rooms:

Room 613 - (6th floor - Capacity: 8)

Room 614 - (6th floor - Capacity: 8)

Room 522 - (5th floor - Capacity: 10)

Though not required, reservations for these rooms can be made online on our Shared Learning Room Reservation page. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance by finding an availability on the Shared Learning Room Calendar. Please note that if the reserving party is more than 15 minutes late, they forfeit the reservation. If a Shared Learning Room is available and not reserved, any individual or group may use the room and the equipment included in it.

If you have any questions about the Shared Learning Rooms at the Central Library, please call our Reference line at 512-974-7400, option 1.
