The Faulk Central Library is closing its doors starting Saturday, September 16. As a result, customers are no longer able to select the Faulk Central Library as a pick-up location for holds.
If you are waiting for an item that is unavailable and you’ve requested that it be sent to the Faulk Central Library, unless it arrives on or before Friday, September 15, it will be redirected to the Carver Branch at 1161 Angelina Street and held for you there. If you would like to choose a different pick-up location, call Customer Service at 512-974-7475 or notify us online (Ask a Librarian).
Any holds remaining on the pick-up shelf at the Faulk Central Library at closing time, 6 p.m., Friday, September 15, will be packed up and sent to the Carver Branch.
When the New Central Library opens on October 28, holds that were redirected to the Carver Branch will not be moved over, but you will then be able to select the New Central Library as a pick-up location for holds.
