Many of our eBooks can be downloaded, but some can only be streamed online with an internet connection, including eBooks from EBSCOhost. In the catalog these books are labeled EBOOK EBSCOHOST.
To read this kind of eBook, click View eBook here, to the right of EBOOK EBSCOHOST. If you are outside the Library, you will be prompted to enter your Library card number.
To read this book,
- Click PDF Full Text on the left or choose a chapter from the Table of Contents further down the page.
If you get a message that says the book is in use, try again later. EBSCOhost eBooks can be viewed by only one person at a time.
- The book will load. To see more pages, scroll down or use the arrows at the bottom. You can also type in a page number and press Enter to jump forward or back.
You can save or email a limited number of pages. The limit is set by the publisher and can be up to 100 pages but is often far fewer.
Some features like My Notes and Add to folder require you to create a free account with EBSCOhost. This is separate from your Library account. To create one, click Sign In at the top and then click Create a new Account.
Visit the eBooks Support Center to see video tutorials and user guides. Please note that the Austin Public Library does not have EBSCO audiobooks, nor do we support the eBooks from EBSCOhost app.
