The thermostat settings and average temperature varies by zone. For most zones in the Faulk Central Library and the branches, the normal cooling set point is 73°F, and the normal heating set point is 69°F.
At Faulk Central, 73°F is the minimum cooling point, with some zones set to 74°F or 75°F. The maximum heating setting is 69°F, with some places requiring only 67° or 68°F settings. These settings are the thresholds which we have found to provide maximum comfort with minimum energy use. We occasionally adjust these settings for special events or circumstances. Faulk does not have equipment to specifically deal with humidity.
