OverDrive eBooks and audiobooks can be checked out for 7, 14 or 21 days. Videos can be checked out for 3, 5 or 7 days, though some video checkouts will be cut short to 48 hours once you start viewing them. Learn more about video restrictions.

You can renew OverDrive items once if there are no holds.
 

How to set the OverDrive loan period:

  1. Sign into your OverDrive account.
     
  2. Click My Account at the top right and then choose Settings.
    If you do not see My Account, look for Screenshot of three lines that indicates a collapse menu. to reveal that option and then choose Settings
     
  3. Under Lending periods, choose the duration you want for each format.

Your selections are automatically saved for all future checkouts. You should see the following message at the top of the screen.
