With our current staffing level, we must limit each customer to five holds to ensure that other Austin Public Library services are also maintained. In fiscal year 2016 alone, customers requested an average of 64,860 items per month. By limiting each customer to five holds, we are able to find, deliver and hold large volumes of items at Austin Public Library branches across the city.
