Same-day hold request
If an item is showing available at a library location, call to ask if staff can fill a same-day hold.
First, find the item in the catalog. If it says...

...then click View location availability to see where the item is currently on the shelf.
Next, call that library location to request this hold.
Staff will let you know if same-day pickup is possible. If yes, they will check the shelf to confirm the item is there and will hold it for you to pick up the same day at that location only.
Note: Please allow three or more hours for a same-day request; sometimes staff can check immediately but it depends on how busy the location is. Searches at the Central library take longer due to the building size.
Online Holds
Holds you place online are processed the next day the library is open. Be sure to check your library location hours as those are subject to change.
